Not every kitchen renovation needs to start with demolition.

When the homeowners of Project Nicklaus first connected with Wynwood Renovations, they were considering several possibilities — from a complete kitchen renovation to simply replacing the existing cabinet doors. After a closer look, it became clear that much of the existing kitchen was worth preserving.

The homeowners already loved the size and layout of their kitchen, and the cabinet boxes themselves were in good condition. Rather than replacing a functional kitchen, we focused on transforming it through carefully selected colours, materials, and architectural details.

Client Background

The homeowners approached us with a kitchen they felt was dated but still structurally sound. They wanted to explore options that would refresh the space without unnecessary demolition. Their main concern was how to balance existing elements with new finishes to achieve a refined, contemporary look.

The Result

Results

Project Nicklaus demonstrates how a kitchen can undergo a dramatic transformation without replacing everything. By preserving the existing layout, cabinet boxes, and flooring — and investing in impactful updates like quartzite surfaces, gold‑detailed hood, and refreshed cabinetry — the kitchen gained an entirely new identity.

The finished space feels timeless and traditional, yet lighter, more refined, and representative of a sophisticated 2026 interpretation of classic kitchen design. It’s a renovation centred around one of Wynwood’s guiding principles: knowing what is worth changing, what is worth keeping, and how thoughtful details can completely transform a space.

  • Created a focal point with a statement hood and contrasting island.
  • Seamlessly integrated Taj Mahal quartzite for countertops and backsplash.
